superb 17th century oak chest with double locks and very beautiful irons.
Double-locked safes are rare. Indeed, at the time they were used to keep important documents in villages or small towns. Two people had the keys to open the safe and it was necessary for both to be present in order to open the safe.
Very beautiful chest decorated with beautiful irons on it"s front and side
The chest has its original wrought iron entrances and its original locks and carrying handles on the sides
The right key works, the left one is decorative
uperb patina and in perfect condition
