18th Century Swedish Rococo Period Mora Clock in Original Paint
-
Description
An 18th century Swedish Mora clock from the Rococo period hand-scraped to reveal the original blue - green paint surface, circa 1770. A beautiful long case clock from top to bottom. The bonnet features a carved floral basket and the bottom of the elongated case is scalloped. Original face, clockworks, pendulum and weights. This clock has been cleaned and serviced and is operating with its original works. A beautiful Mora clock that strikes on the hour with a double bell chime. If you'd prefer that the clock operate without its original movement, a quartz movement can be added for an additional fee. The quartz movement would operate the time and hourly chime, although the chime can be turned off, if desired.
