Description
A mahogany document cabinet in the Louis XVI style by Mellier of London, the top with swept corners over two rows of five graduated drawers on concave bracket feet, the drawer fronts and sides panelled and with applied ormolu banding, handles and lock escutcheons, stamped Mellier and Co, London. English, circa 1880.

Wick Antiques was established by Charles Wallrock in the early 1980s. Having grown up in the Antiques world Charles developed an extensive wealth of knowledge. Caroline having completed a Persian degree, went on to study at Christie’s fine art and then joined Sotheby’s specializing in Islamic and Japanese works of art
