Bar cabinet in goatskin parchment by Aldo Tura 1960’s
-
Description
Italian designer Aldo Tura was known for creating decorative pieces that often incorporated goatskin parchment, which creates the lovely dappled, tortoise-shell-like look seen here on this bar cabinet. The varnished goatskin parchment surface, in complex shades of brown, is offset by the shiny brass detailing on the hinges, handles, and decorative touches for a refined, quality feel. The interior, for stowing away glasses or other staples of your bar, features a mirrored back wall and glass shelves, a luxe contrast to the warm exterior. The boxy upper shape of the piece is roomy and robust and held on four tapered legs. This cabinet would make a beautiful focal piece for a living room with plenty of cozy, boozy ambiance.
