Description
Black painted Gustavian Swedish cabinet from Jämtland in northern Sweden. The upper portion of this rococo cabinet has two doors which open to reveal two deep shelves, one shallow shelf and a scalloped shape shelf notched to hold flatware. Doors are secured with a working lock and key (not original, but early). Lower portion contains two drawers. Cabinet dates to the late 18th century (circa 1780-1800). Interior shelves measure 38 inches wide x 10.5 inches deep.
