Description
From Boston, Massachusetts. Cabinetmakers and clients in Boston and Newport favored Baroque block fronts for decoration on case furniture over carving. Here, as in other Boston pieces, the blocking continues up to the top and the top board is shaped to the blocked façade. The base molding also follows the same outline. Crafted of beautifully grained wood and retaining original hardware.
