  • Description
Classic Swedish Country cabinet with glass panel display case, circa mid 19th century. Elegant in its pale color and restrained form, this lovely cabinet has quintessential Swedish style. Baroque influence is notable in the straight silhouette, with understated details like rectilinear cornice pediment with dentil molding. Carved panel doors echo the simple form of the cabinet. Raised on scrolled bracket feet, the cabinet has a light and airy quality even at its monumental size. The spacious interior is painted a rustic red, reminiscent of traditional falu red often found on countryside buildings in Sweden. Once used as a china cabinet, this versatile piece can be used as a bookcase or modern day curio cabinet. A wonderful storage solution for the kitchen, dining room or living room.
