De Coene Frères was a Belgian furniture manufacturing company that operated from 1889 until the early 1970s. The company was founded by Jules and Auguste De Coene, who were both trained as carpenters and had a passion for woodworking.

Initially, De Coene Frères specialized in producing wooden panels and veneers for interior decoration, but they soon expanded into furniture production. They quickly gained a reputation for their high-quality craftsmanship and innovative designs, which combined traditional woodworking techniques with modern materials and styles.

Over the years, De Coene Frères produced a wide range of furniture, including tables, chairs, cabinets, and wardrobes, as well as decorative items such as mirrors and lighting fixtures. They were known for their use of high-quality materials such as walnut, oak, and mahogany, as well as their attention to detail and commitment to quality.

De Coene Frères was also involved in a number of high-profile architectural projects, including the interior design of the Belgian Pavilion at the 1939 World's Fair in New York City. They also produced furniture for the ocean liner SS Normandie, which was considered one of the most luxurious ships of its time.

Today, De Coene Frères furniture is highly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts, and their pieces can be found in museums and private collections around the world.
