Description
George Nakashima design dresser for his Origins line by Widdicomb, 1959. Dramatic wood grain figuring throughout the body of the case and trapezoidal shape top extending to 105"in. wide. Twelve drawers in total with the top six fitted with dividers and a jewelry box, all numbered with one embossed Nakashima stamp. Newly refinished and ready to install.
Part of the “Origins Collection” Nakashima designed for Widdicomb from 1958-1960. The series featured pagoda-like details with a finish that Nakashima called “Sundra,” Sanskrit for “thing of beauty.”
One of five pieces of a bedroom set purchased by the original owner. The other three "Origins" pieces available from the collection include a tall dresser, and a King size headboard. -
