Description
This "Magic Box" folding desk, first designed in 1928 by Swiss architects Mummenthaler and Meier, was produced in the 1960s. The teak box closes up completely and locks with a key. When fully opened, it has a large fold-down writing top, lit from above by a retractable built-in light that is original to the piece. Below the desktop sits a shallow drawer. The piece features numerous small shelves and storage compartments made of maple, creating an entire office.
