Description
Northern Italian Secretary Baroque Period Inlaid Walnut Circa 1730 A rare Northern Italian three part Secretary with a wonderfully shaped profile and elegantly mixed inlay cabinet. With gilt bronze handles from a collection that furnished an important home near the base of Alps near the Dolomites. In very good substantially original condition with some small repairs. Provinance available to new owner. Secretaries like these are rare and in a way represent early lap tops. The quality of the inlays along with gilt brass hardware make this a particularly good example.
