Description
Rare small neoclassical early Biedermeier Commode or Chest of Drawers from South Germany around 1820.
Veneered in wonderful bright cherry wood on spruce softwood. Ebonized legs and cornice. Inlaid and ebonized key coats of arms. Ebonized Half Columns on the edges with gold gilded capitals and bases. Old iron box locks. Excellent restored condition with french polished with shellac by hand.
