Swedish Storage Chest

Description
A late 18th-century Swedish folk art pinewood cabinet. The four-door panels have been sponge-painted and bookmatched, done in a blue and white stripe and floral pattern. The top of the cabinet is finished in the same painted pattern. A wonderful example of Swedish country furniture and painting styles, this piece boasts charm and originality. The cabinet also maintains its original hardware. As pine ages, it hardens, making this a sturdy piece heavy for its size. Wear consistent with age and use.
