Description
An incredibly handsome ebonized desk and chair, done in the Empire style, from 1920s France. Both the chair and desk are topped in black leather, with brass nail heads securing the chair’s leather seat to its frame. Each piece of the ebony-finished set is clad with exceptional brass ormolu. The two drawers, found in the desk’s apron, each have brass pulls and escutcheons. The front legs sport goddess and palm imagery in brass and all four legs have brass paw feet. The sleek chair has brass paw front feet, with more ormolu embellishing its front rail and arm supports. This stylish set will be your space’s pièce de résistance, making for a most sophisticated study or office.
The chair measures: 29 1/4″H x 23 5/8″W x 18 1/2″D with a seat height of 18″. -
