French Louis XVI Style Ebony and Marble Enfilade

Description
A smart marble-top enfilade, painted ebony and gold, from France. The white marble top is in wonderful antique condition and has turreted corners that match the body below. Three drawers exist above three lockable doors, and have been fitted with round brass ring pulls, cast with foliate wreath and medallion motifs. Like the drawers above, the doors have a classic panel design with gold painted trim. They have brass escutcheons cast in a knotted ribbon motif. The doors conceal two storage cavities, each equipped with a single fixed drawer. The body has turreted corners which have fluted carved details, and terminate in lovely turned and tapered feet that are capped in brass.
