Store, London; converted 19th century oil lamps with original fittings; each covered double-handled urn painted with floral and foliate designs; converted brass fixture marked 'W. Whiteley Westbourne Grove London'; knob reads 'Hinks Duplex Patent'; om 1983, William Whiteley opened his first 'Fancy Goods' shop in London developing into Whiteley's Department Store catering to a wealthy clientele
