Description
Original copper marble table lamp signed by Adam Ruiz & Cyril Fuchs
Dimensions: 45 x 57 x 4 cm
Materials: Varnished copper and Carrara marble
Hand scultped, signed.
Minimalist, this desk lamp named 0.47 for its proportion ratio is deeply
inspired by his function. It plays on the balance, the cantilever, the inter lockings and the intersections of cylindrical volumes.
The marble base of Carrara firmly sits the lamp. The choice of this marble
also allows once illuminated, to bring out all its veining and to bring a second reading more poetic and sweet. The illuminating copper part is slightly oxidized before being blocked and protected, thus copper is highlighted by its nuances.
Adam Ruiz
With a background in Product design and his enthusiasm for metal, a simple but demanding material, Adam studied metal arts and crafts at the ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres. Thanks to these skills, he expresses his passion for design and makes by hand every objects he presents, from the original idea to the fabrication.
His items reflect his strong attachment to hand work and craftsmanship, which is illustrated by his constant willingness to establish a dialogue between the fabrication process, and a minimal and contemporary aestheticism.
You’ll find his hallmark, the three letters ARZ, minted on each of his pieces. -
