This pair of antique Japanese porcelain lamps are extremely rare and valuable not only for their artistry but for their beautiful uncommon pink color. Pottery and porcelain are one of the oldest Japanese crafts and art forms, dating back to the Neolithic period. These lamps have been rewired with silk cord and have new custom made taffeta silk shades with metallic trim.

Rewired: Newly Rewired for North American Outlets. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. Please note missing wood in base of left lamp in its original condition - does not tip in practical use, but a strong knock or bump could tip the left lamp.
