1970s Italian Vintage Barovier Toso Pair of White Black Gold Murano Glass Lamps

Description
An elegant mid-20th century pair of Venetian table lamps, of organic modern design, blown with maestria by Barovier & Toso: the sophisticated flared ribbed bodies with a scalloped edge in overlaid crystal clear Murano glass are frosted on the inside and present an iridescence that gives a chic lustrous white pearl effect; they are worked for additional texture with bullicante (large bubbles within the glass), extensively highlighted with 24 Kt gold that makes the glass glow. On round ribbed bases decorated with pure gold and black glass bulbous elements, fitted with their original period brass accents. Diameter of base: 6 inches.
