    Created by master craftsmen and characterized by clean lines, exotic woods, soft edges and intuitive functionality, the Swedish Modern lighting models of the once Borås based lighting manufactory, Boréns, are eternally timeless and timely.

    Swedish lighting designers were masters of creating designs with great texture variety as this rare model “B8453” table lamp shows. The design possesses a look that is fresh and modern, while not giving up on either functionality or pure aesthetic features. The beauty of this stylish lamp lays in the combination of materials, including the accent wooden neck, the brass elements and the green lacquered metal reflector. The pairing of colours and textures creates an interesting visual effect, where the traditional look of the organic wood meets the modern look of brass. The metal lampshade “crowns” the brass base and teak neck beautifully. It has an elegant pressed dome shape that provides plenty of surface to show off the distinct green coloured lacquer. Meanwhile, the inside of the reflector is lacquered white to enhance its functionality. The exotic wood neck adds plenty of textural beauty, while the reflector has a brass rim and finial, which are also neat visual points of interest. The brass elements tie the materials together in a design that is indeed innovative and modern, still fresh to the contemporary eye. The beautiful colour and texture of the brass and wood neck wrapped are further emphasized when the light is turned on by the switch on the base.

    The two bulbs provide warm light, which brings a soft ambience, bringing a touch of Scandinavian style to any space. This elegant lamp casts an atmospheric light and thus contributes to the conviviality of a warm interior but also fits perfectly on an elegant desk.

    In vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Some marks and scratches on the brass and on the metal reflector.
