The Vetreria Gino Cenedese was founded in 1946 by Gino Cenedese (1907-1973), already rich in experience in the sector having worked alongside several master glassmakers (including Giacomo Cappellin) and who, in his business, associated to the most qualified of the time: Alfredo Barbini, Angelo Tosi, Gino Fort and Pietro Scaramal. Under the leadership of Gino Cenedese, sole owner since 1949, the glassworks soon established itself nationally and internationally for the high level of production. On the one hand, the ancient tradition of Murano glass continues - with blown glass, goblets, vases, plates, and Venetian chandeliers -, on the other it welcomes the suggestions of contemporary art, establishing intense relationships with the artistic and culture of the time. He then participated in various editions of the Biennale, the Milan Triennials and other important international exhibitions collaborating with various artists. Since Gino's death, his son Amelio continues the work in close collaboration with the workers of the glassworks, forming one of the largest occupational complexes in Murano.
