Alogena 626 floor lamps by Joe Colombo for Oluce, circa 1980. Model 626 “was the first domestic light with a halogen light bulb and its design came in response to the invention of the new light source.” 'Joe Colombo: Lighting Design + Interior Design’ by MarCo Romanelli. Silver / gray enameled base and slotted shade. Chrome-plated steel support. Lamp head is adjustable in height and pivots 360 degrees around the chrome stem. Lamp head is adjustable 180 degrees and the light can be directed up or down. Black plastic knob on lamp head functions as a dimmable on / off switch. Priced individually. One floor lamp has two plastic clips to hold the black wire to the stem, the other has only one. Overall very good vintage condition. Scratches and marks to the round bases. See photos.
