Charming and elegant Art Deco standing lamp in the form of a stylized parasol by Otto Schulz for Boet, stand in patinated bronze, with a sphere finial and tiered round base on sphere feet, shade restored in ivory charmeuse hand-sewn over original frame and edged in fringe, Sweden, 1930s.

The theme of repeated circular forms was a favorite of Schulz’s, well suited to his Art Deco style models of the 1920s and 1930s, but which appear rather avant garde in the context of his Arts and Crafts style designs of the 1900s-1910s.
