Satellite is inspired by the conceptual and minimalist movement of the 1960s and 1970s. These light sculptures are fundamentally geometric and architectonic.
They rely on the cube as starting point for our explorations in space, light, form, volume, repetition, sequence and variation. Articulating arms enable a 180 degree movement on the horizontal plane.
The pieces can be used as individual fixtures or in number of combinations
forming light sculptures levitating in space
Paul Matter
Paul Matter is a contemporary light design studio that explores light design by blending the traditional with the experimental, form with function, and detail with the ordinary. The longevity of the designs is ensured by combining timeless visual language with materials that refine with age. The studio works closely with master craftsmen, developing hand-crafted products, finished and assembled with great attention to detail, one piece at a time.
Drawing from a rich palette, the materials used include aged brass, copper,
stone, leather and blown glass.
