This work is a tribute to the sublime pink clay cliffs that are reflected on the ocean along the beaches of the island of «Tinharé» Precious Artefact Capsule collection of light sculptures by Audrey Guimard and Marie Jeunet An ode to nature, this is what the two artists offer with their combined expertise and favorite materials, tufa stone and glass. On sculptural stone plinths, echoing so many mineral landscapes, sit sheets of colored glass and blocks of raw material which, through a subtle play of light and textures, magnify the stone and the surfaces surrounding them. Colorful transparencies and hypnotic caustics unfold before our eyes throughout the day. Their mesmerizing work evoke a succession of waves, sunrises and sunsets, moon reflections on these abstract landscapes where the sand turned glass binds with the shapes of the rock. The brass, affixed as a signature, finishes elevating the pieces and consecrating them as precious artifacts. Loving a challenge, these young women work with all types of formats, from small gems to monumental items fit for large spaces. Everything is tailor-made, modular and adjustable. They are committed to offering pieces that meet the sensibilities of their clients and blend in perfectly with their interior. Dialogue, exchange and stories are the basis of their work. Audrey Guimard Scenographer, sculptor-artist, admirer of nature and fervent supporter of awareness in our ways of creating and living art. Audrey Guimard explores space in all its dimensions, from the monumental to the object. She creates bridges between architecture, land art, installation, sculpture and design. Her work is based on the transformation of matter, whether through hybridization with other elements, the way of sculpting it, its lighting and its setting in space. The ecological dimension is fundamental in her projects, a commitment that it has been keeping to the maximum, in particular by reusing and diverting materials intended for disposal, or materials collected in nature. For a year her activity based on the work of the tufa stone is an opportunity for her to develop a body of sculptures to live and to create collaborations with many artists working with other materials and exploring new aesthetic writings and poetics of matter. Marie Jeunet From grandparents to framers and lighting manufacturers, a childhood spent next to the workshop of a great master glassmaker, this was what predestined Marie Jeunet to get passionate about the decorative arts very early on. To the question «Inanimate objects, do you have a soul?» she answers without the least hesitation, which she is convinced of. Collector, chiner, treasure seeker, her quests are varied but always guided by this search for emotions. The “incarnate” becomes his leitmotiv. After more than 12 years as a creative in the service of prestigious brands, she begins by understanding the subject by learning different stained glass techniques in a workshop Very quickly, it’s obvious, she decides to create objects, but living objects. Its «PRECIOUS» ones therefore have a soul, a presence echoing the different sensitivities of those who know how to appreciate them. Works that can even become much more intimate, thanks to the tailor-made creations that it offers to its customers. Choice of glasses: colors, textures, transparencies, reflections, play of materials and light effects, combinations and their stories are infinite.
