Description
A Neoclassical lamp created from a Nineteenth Century basalt ware vase. Vase body is detailed with rolling acanthus leaves encircling the top and protruding ram's heads. Newly wired for two bulbs with bronzed hardware and pull chains. Black Basalt ware, also known as Black Egyptian, is a dry-bodied stoneware developed by Josiah Wedgwood to imitate Etruscan vases.
