Description
A beautiful 19th century French arch top mercury plate mirror, gesso over wood, then finished in a deep duck egg green with a gilt leaf decorative element and gilt banding to the interior of the frame.
The mercury plate has wonderful foxing with a 'cobwebbing' effect in places. Small areas of loss to the gesso as shown in the images.
