This Irish George III mirrors consists of an oval mirror plate surrounded by alternating blue and clear faceted cut glass gems (with applied gilding), set into a metal frame. County Waterford was famed for its glass production in the 18th and 19th centuries, especially the Waterford Glasshouse, which was known for these distinctive mirrors.
