Description
Rare and important large "Waves Mirror" in intricately etched patinated bronze and pewter with hand painted enamels by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “P.K. LaVerne” on top and bottom of frame). This mirror retains the original LaVerne gallery label on the back. This scale of this mirror makes it truly impressive. Philip & Kelvin LaVerne were often inspired by nature. This superb mirror exemplifies the time consuming hand-crafting that each piece required: etching, patinating and then hand-painting. It’s a testament to their devotion to the finest artisanship.
