Description
This rare Baroque Colonial sunburst mirror was made in the 1920s. It is made with hardwood, plaster, and gold leaf sheets. While the style is inspired in Baroque colonial sunburst mirrors, the technique was executed by Peruvian artisans. This can be seen in the rich texture and unique gold detailing, resembling ethnic motifs from the Andes. The glass is also original. The mirror is in its original condition and while it has some minor dents and small pieces of plaster missing (as detailed in the pictures), the piece is in great condition and will certainly fit into any interior space.
