2 Rare, Hand Carved Cypress, Italian Alpine Benches circa 1950. The pieces convey the Mid-Century Modern Craftsman aesthetic with its emphasis on hand made pieces, using honest materials and reflecting sober, modern sensibilities in conjunction with the influence of nature. They are original pieces, hand carved from blocks of wood with hand carved wood seats and hand chiseled around the apron to provide details of the sensuous wood. They are practical and functional, timeless works of sculpture to be enjoyed by generation after generation. Priced and Sold as Individual Pieces.
