Scandinavian Modern easy chairs by Arne Norell, Sweden, 1960s. The 'Ari' is Norells most well-known piece, designed in 1966. Loose cushions upholstered in camel-colored leather with beautiful high gloss chrome steel frame. The belts on the back, are one of the most striking features of this classic design. Produced by Norell Møbel AB. Arne Norell was a Swedish furniture designer who passed away in 1971. In 1973 this ARI lounge chair was posthumously awarded the British Furniture Manufacturer's "Showpiece of the Year” and has been one of the most iconic and comfortable Scandinavian designs ever since.
