This elegant and truly exceptional early Austrian Biedermeier sofa was made in circa 1825-30.

The sofa is an example of beautiful, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship. Austrian Biedermeier pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions and continue to have a great influence on modern design.

This Biedermeier sofa has a lovely mahogany veneer accentuated by a deep amber tone and 200 years old patina.

It sits well and is very comfortable.

The upholstery beautifully emphasizes the warm amber shade of the mahogany wood.
The refined details of this gorgeous sofa are highlighted by beautiful maple marquetry.

The piece is in very good condition.
