Description
Depth: 18.5" || Creator: Charles Bevan || Charles Bevan attributed for Marsh and Jones. A gothic Revival side chair with chamfered edges, and ebonized dot decoration to the lower back, and to the front and back seat corners. With ring turned supports below the upholstered back and a nice scroll details around the sides beneath the seat. The ring turned legs with an inlaid band peppered with further ebonized dot decoration stood on the original brass and ceramic castors to the feet. The back legs have stop and start chamfered details. Professionally reupholstered in a quality green leather. Retaining the original label Marsh and Jones (late Kendell & Co.) from Leeds seat height: 47 cm
