Description
Mid-century natural pine Les Arcs stools by Charlotte Perriand, France, c. 1960s.
The Les Arcs stool derives its name from the eponymous ski resort in Savoie - a historic commission for celebrated architect and designer Charlotte Perriand. Its simple yet sleek design consists of a functionalist U-shaped frame, single crossbar, slatted seat, and solid pine construction. Highly collectible, the Les Arcs stool is a signature example of Perriand's post-war design sensibilities.
The final image of the slideshow pictures the Les Arcs stool in-situ at one of the ski resort units in Savoie, France for which it was originally designed.
