Beautiful shaped model 218 slat chair designed by Dirk van Sliedregt for Rohe Noordwolde, The Netherlands 1961. This striking Dutch design classic has a chromed steel frame with rubber finished feet. The seat and back have 37 slats. These slender slats of dark teak and lighter birch wood fan out to shape the curvature of the seat, where they alternately latch together. The effect is very expressive, giving the chair an Italian flair even though the cool clarity of its simple construction is an obvious sign of Dutch origin. Two brass bolts on both sides hold the ingenious construction together and create stability. This minimalist side chair is one of the best designs by Dirk van Sliedregt.

The chair is in excellent condition, the wood is totally refinished with a high quality UV and water protective lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also completely structural checked and ready to use. A real nice catch for any modern home, office or interior.
