We are pleased to offer you this elegant and truly exceptional Viennese Biedermeier sofa made circa 1825-30.
Viennese Biedermeier pieces are distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design, excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
This early Biedermeier sofa has a lovely walnut wood / veneer accentuated by a deep amber tone and 200 years old patina.
The upholstery lovely emphasizes the warm amber shade of the walnut wood and fine, beautifully carved swan’s head decor.
The backrest of the sofa has a gorgeous crafted arched inlay.
The piece is in very good condition. It sits well and is very comfortable.
We are providing a Certificate of Authenticity.
The piece is from a baronial estate.
French polish finish.

It sits well and is very comfortable. The construction is very strong and steady. The seat of the sofa along with the springs has been thoroughly restored and is in excellent condition.
