Gae Aulenti for Zanotta, set of four 'Locus Solus' armchairs, chromed tubular steel, burgundy leather, Italy, 1964. Set of four 'Locus Solus' armchairs. These armchairs, designed by Gae Aulenti and produced by Zanotta, are one of Aulenti’s most playful design pieces, with close features of the architectural structures she designed for Milan's Piazza Cadorna. The design was initially meant for outdoor use and merged functional aspects with pop attitude. The tubular chairs are also featured in the iconic movie 'La Piscine', for which Aulenti created them in bright yellow. This chromed version with blue leatherette seats have a more Classic appearance and can be a great addition to a contemporary home.
