    An eclectic personality, from his early days Gio Ponti was active in the fields of architecture, painting, graphics and set design. In 1932 - together with Pietro Chiesa and Luigi Fontana - he founded FontanaArte. FontanaArte is an Italian company founded in Milan (as Fontana Arte) in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Giò Ponti and specializing in glass processing and the production of furnishing accessories. It is known for working with curved crystal and producing lighting fixtures, becoming a prominent name in Italian design over the years.
    Couple of armchairs designed in 50s attributed to Gio Ponti. The armchairs have a wooden frame, the backrest is made solid by three wooden slats and the seat is made of a wooden frame with a steel spring structure.
    The upholstery is easily removable.
    Original condition, good condition, patina of time on the upholstery.
