We are delighted to present this rare 18th-century living room set, which includes a long sofa (approximately three seats) and two accompanying chairs. Originating from Italy, this exquisite set was crafted by skilled cabinetmakers during the Louis XVI period. The structure is made of solid walnut, showcasing the craftsmanship of the era, while the seats and backrests feature fine Vienna straw, meticulously woven by hand using traditional techniques.
The design is characterized by simple and rigorous lines, embodying the refined and discreet elegance favored during this historical period. Delicate floral carvings add a touch of artistry to the wooden structure, enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal.
