Description
An Elegant and Important Trend-setting Pair of Large French Rattan Sculptural Lounge Chairs by Janine Abraham and Dirk Jan Roi for Edition Rougier, circa 1955. This is a rare model with a tall back and 4 wrought iron legs for support.; and, a confident, timeless, modern statement. This original design incorporates the idea of a transparent framework revealing its inner architecture and was several decades ahead of the de-constructivist architecture of the 1980's-1990's, The elegant basket seat shell is held by black lacquered steel frame. Excellent original condition. Dimensions: Height 38” x Width 33” x Depth 32
