Description
This stunning set of ten Brazilian modern chairs in Rosewood and cane was designed by Joaquim Tenreiro in the 1960s. The “Chair with Curved Seat" (or “Cadeira com Assento Curvo” in Portuguese) is featured in Tenreiro’s book (see attached image). Tenreiro masterfully combines simplicity and lightness using Brazilian materials—cane and Jacaranda. While the model was replicated by Celina Decoracoes and Forma Moveis, none matched Tenreiro’s expertise in working with the wood, evident in the joints, curved seat, and legs. This design is a signature of Tenreiro, and owning this set of four chairs offers not only functionality and visual impact but also a valuable investment that is likely to appreciate over time.
