SImilar to Commander armchairs, the Lobby armchair was designed to address the growing demand of office furniture in Brazil in the early 70s. The structure of these armchairs is made in metal and the upholstery is new. Attached you’ll see the manufacture manual and product catalogs of the time.
This set is showcased in our showroom next to a small Joaquim Tenreiro coffee table and the set looks great. A piece like this will look great in a midcentury modern, contemporary, or modern environment. The Set is in excellent condition. The metal has been repainted and the seats reupholstered.
About the author:
Jorge Zalszupin was a Brazilian architect and furniture designer who was born in Poland in 1922. He moved to Brazil in the 1950s and quickly became known for his innovative furniture designs that blended elements of European modernism with Brazilian warmth and tropical materials.
Finally, Zalszupin's influence on the Brazilian design community has helped to shape a unique design aesthetic that continues to inspire designers around the world. Zalszupin's work was characterized by clean lines, bold shapes, and a playful use of color, and he created many iconic pieces of furniture that are still popular today. In addition, his furniture is known for its high quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, which results in pieces that are both beautiful and durable.
