-
Description
The mid-century modern “Holperin” armchair was designed in 1962 by Sergio Rodrigues during his time at Oca. The base is made with solid Brazilian rosewood. The wood has been refinished and the seat has been reupholstered in green leather. This Brazilian Modern armchair model was a spinoff of the “Ambassador” armchair designed by Sergio Rodrigues two years prior in 1960 for the Brazilian embassy at the Palácio Doria Pamphili in Rome. The last images are vintage publications (ads and books) showcasing this classic.
This piece was found in Teresopolis, a city two hours away from Rio de Janeiro and was restored and reupholstered to its original condition by the same group of upholstered artisans that worked with Sergio Rodrigues. -
