Description
This classic Mies van der Rohe MR Rattan Armless Side Chair by Knoll will add style and sophistication to any room. With its modern design featuring a rattan construction, this chair is perfect for any contemporary or traditional decor. Durable and timeless, this chair is sure to withstand the test of time.
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was a German-American architect known as one of the most influential architects of the 20th century for his role in the development of the most enduring architectural style of the modernism era. He was born in Aachen, Germany and started his career in the influential studio of Peter Behrens where he worked alongside two other titans of modernism, Walter Gropius and Le Corbusier. For almost a century, Mies' minimalist style has proved very popular; his famous aphorism "less is more" is still widely used, even by those who are unaware of its origins.
Foundationally built on the Bauhaus design philosophy, Knoll continues to craft our perspective through the pairing of craftsmanship and technology through the art of design. Making various pieces for the home and office, Knoll has also pioneered the concept of interior design within the workplace
