Description
An iconic piece of 20th-century design, the LC4 Chaise Lounge—often referred to as the “relaxing machine”—was originally conceived in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand. This authentic Cassina production exemplifies the perfect balance of form and function, with its continuously adjustable recline designed to cradle the body in effortless comfort.
* Design pedigree: A timeless modernist masterpiece, permanently exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
* Materials: Tubular chrome-plated steel frame paired with supple, classic black leather upholstery.
* Details: Cassina branding and production marks confirm authenticity.
* Condition: Excellent, with minimal signs of use, showcasing the enduring quality of Cassina craftsmanship.
This LC4 is more than a lounge chair—it is a sculptural statement of modern living. Whether placed in a collector’s interior or a contemporary home, it remains one of the most celebrated and desirable designs of the modernist era.
We currently have three available (priced separately) from a private corporate Texas collection.
The 5-digit serial numbers denote that the chairs were produced between 1980-1990. -
