This sculptural bench is a study in purity and contrast, carved from a single piece of solid hardwood and shaped into a bold geometric form. Its tapered legs and monolithic profile are softened by the warmth of natural grain, revealing annual rings and subtle movement in the wood’s tone. The result is both architectural and grounded, with quiet complexity beneath its clean lines.

The surface is finely sanded to highlight the organic patterning of the timber. Visible cracks, including a striking black resin-filled split on the side, speak to the internal forces of the material and add tension to the otherwise minimal composition.

Each piece is shaped entirely by hand using traditional tools. There are no veneers or lamination, only solid wood shaped with care and precision. The simplicity of form allows the wood to lead, not follow.
