description Branded manufacturer's cypher to underside of each example. Carved to underside of nine examples 'IX'.
condition Chairs present well with wear from age and use. Wood surfaces show scattered minor abrasions, a few shallow indentations, areas of minor finish wear, and some scattered chips. Stable seam separations are visible to some joints and backrests. One leg to one chair retains some repairs and filler. Original leather seats show moderate areas of crazing, small scattered losses, and some small punctures. One seat has a large tear with losses. Please note this work may require the buyer to obtain a CITES permit to export out of the United States. Due to increased scrutiny regarding the issuance of CITES certificates, Rago/Wright/LAMA cannot guarantee an export permit will be granted. -
