Lounge Chair In Elm And Leather In The Manner Of Pierre Chapo, France 1970s
-
Description
Lounge chair in elm and cognac leather in the manner of Pierre Chapo.Characteristic appearance through high-quality craftsmanship and design choices is what characterizes this lounge chair from the mid-1970s. This type of chair is currently very sought after and rides on the brutalism meets rural wave that is currently very much in vogue. The beautiful elm shows a deep bronze color and shine, which seems to give the frame an extra dimension. A robust frame with large tooth connections on both sides of the armrests is the first thing you notice. A kind of relief is created between these connections with some small shadows because all edges of the wood are faceted.Coarse Allen bolts connect the legs to the rest of the frame and are sunk into the wood. Due to the selection of elm wood and the overall look and feel, we cannot help but wander around in our minds through the oeuvre of Pierre Chapo. A heavily patinated and lined cognac leather ensures extreme comfort for whoever sits in this chair. In addition to the age-related signs of wear consisting of scratches, discolorations and stains, this item is in excellent condition both cosmetically and constructively.
