--------
This elegant lounge chair has a black painted iron frame and has recently been upholstered in a light linen blend fabric. Due to the thinness of the frame, the seat has an almost floating appearance. This version is much more rare than the more common "shell" chair by Carlo Hauner.
About the designers:
Carlo Hauner & Martin Eisler are the duo behind 'Forma', the Brazilian Mid-Century Furniture company that started in the early-mid 50s. Under the Forma flag the two designers designed seperately as well as together. Unfortunately due to two fires in the Forma factories many original documentation has been lost. With the rising interest in Brazilian design in recent years, slowly Hauner & Eisler are also getting the attention they deserve. We are sure many more interesting pieces will find the spotlight.
